“I am Magdalena and I’m 21 years old. Three years ago, I’ve finished my chemotherapy treatment. My battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma took the whole of 2014.
The most important thing during that year was the trust I had in my doctor and the support of family and friends. Nothing was fine at the time. I needed a motivation.
Then the Little People association and Youth Cancer Europe found me. They invited me to Bucharest in December 2014 to take part in the Open Space Summit. That was my motivation.
I met people like me, cancer survivors. Before they were only numbers to me but now they are real people who provoke change in their countries. They inspired me to work towards changing things locally as well.” Magdalena Jaworska, Polish cancer survivor
